Vision&Mission
The AIDS crisis
Analysts believe that by 2050, the AIDS pandemic will be the most important factor to have shaped humanity in this century. In South Africa one of the most severely affected countries in the world parents are dying before their children are grown up. This means that South Africa is, and increasingly will be, a country populated by a large number of orphans.
Our vision
Noah’s vision is to empower communities to care for their vulnerable children.
Our mission
Noah’s mission is to empower communities with the knowledge, skills, strategies and self confidence to form and successfully run their own community based organisations supporting the well-being of vulnerable children.
Our strategy
Noah is a development organisation that seeks to promote the well-being of vulnerable children by empowering its community based organisations (CBOs) with the knowledge, skills and strategies to provide prevention and early intervention programmes to vulnerable families with OVC, in order to strengthen and build their capacity and self-reliance to address problems that exist in the family environment that may lead to statutory intervention8. The philosophy applied at Noah is that of creating and capacitating CBOs to be self-governing and sustainable whilst they (the CBOs) simultaneously provide developmental services to families and OVC. In essence, Noah empowers communities to deliver on Noah’s objectives, with each CBO being community owned and driven.

Bringing joy, laughter and love to children is Noah’s goal as we prepare orphaned children for adulthood.
